An eco-responsible race in Lyon, the first worthy of the name!
On June 26 , Run for Planet Lyon is packing its bags for the last stage of its program, at Lake Miribel . In an idyllic place , you will be perfectly accompanied to achieve your summer challenge, just before going on vacation and sipping cocktails on the beach.
For the second edition , this eco-responsible race is therefore taking place in our beautiful city of Lyon, and it is with pleasure that NOSC has decided to support the organization of this 10 kilometer race, as a partner . We have detailed all the information about the event, we also tell you about the little surprise that NOSC has concocted for you as well as the genesis of this beautiful eco-responsible partnership.
1/ A race like no other
With an edition on 3 dates in 2021, in Paris , Bordeaux and Lyon , the run for planet race stands out for its committed positioning. Exit the finishers' T-shirts, useless waste or other plastic cups, the commitments of the organizers are strong and go beyond the simple wooden medal. The bibs are recycled and the chips reused, the profits are donated to associations engaged in the field, unprinted communications and many other elements, to be found here , make this race an example in terms of impact . When you know what an individual plastic bottle distribution can do during a marquee race, every detail counts when it comes to paying attention to its impact .
Two formats are offered during this Lyon edition , where you will have the chance to participate in a superb 10km course (photo below), or a 5km to start running with your first bib . Some advice will come quickly on this subject to help you prepare yourself as well as possible. A morning dedicated to good humor , atmosphere and shopping, a real pleasure! Departures at 10:20 a.m. for the 10km and 10:45 a.m. for the 5km will allow families to wake up pleasantly , and late compared to certain bibs that are often hung up very (too) early in the morning.
2/ A successful first edition with NOSC
Last year, we were already present on the side of Miribel and the lake to welcome you to the "show" of the partners, in the middle of a festive atmosphere despite the famous gauge of 500 participants. Another era since this year, 1500 runners are expected for the races on Sunday June 26th. Last year, we came with a few outfits, but following complicated supplies you did not have the chance to discover the whole range , and although the winners of the races and a few lucky participants left with accessories and NOSC endowments , it is really this year that the event takes on another dimension.
Still, the team was delighted to welcome you last summer. Exchanging in real life after months of confinement and closure had done us the greatest good. The good weather was present and we hope for a similar situation this year. We can not wait to be there !
3/ The benefits of a Run for Planet x NOSC partnership
Between two projects committed to a cleaner, truer sport and in a logic of democratization of our favorite sports such as running, yoga, hiking or climbing, it was entirely relevant for NOSC to support the teams of Run for Planet in their organization of the Lyon event. It did not take long to decide, and thus give more scope to this event which deserves to be known. The values of Mélanie's teams transpire through “RfP” and we believe that NOSC, with our versatile and eco-responsible technical value proposition for everyday adventures, fits perfectly with the spirit of racing.
With this in mind, you will be able to benefit from free bibs ( social networks to watch over the next few days), exclusive offers and other benefits on race day.
Finally, on site on June 26, you will be able to find our team and all our eco-responsible sportswear designed for your favorite practices . We promise you this year a lot of new products and even more advanced products in terms of eco-responsibility and technicality.
We therefore meet on June 26, at the Miribel Park ( Grand Parc Miribel Jonage 69120 Vaulx-en-Velin ) for a moment shared around a sporting challenge , in order to start the summer in the best possible conditions.
Good preparation to all!
